MY JOURNEY ... 

Though raised with a Lutheran and Catholic background, and very active in my parish, I always felt I was searching for something more spiritually.  I had heard Brighid's call for many years.  The time had come to embrace and follow my true spiritual path.   Following a little over a year of study, Imbolc 2006 is when I decided to do my Solitary Dedication.  While studying on my own, I was blessed to have found my dear soul friend, Carregwen.  When we met in the fall of 2004, neither of us knew the other was following a Pagan path.  There was however a feeling of something that tied us when we met.  I had a great sense of feeling we had met before, perhaps another lifetime.  It was not until  January 2005 the truth of our paths surfaced through email.  We laughed when we discovered this secret we both were keeping.

Despite the fact he was in Wales and I was in the states, he guided me and shared his wisdom to help me grow in my understanding of the path I had chosen.  We have kept in touch through email and phone visits.   In October of 2006 he and other friends from the UK visited, and for the first time we celebrated circle together.  This was the first time for me to celebrate with someone else and it was a wonderful experience to share with my teacher!  

Early in 2006 is also when I shared with my family about my path.  My husband, Silver Wolf, was very open and understanding as well as curious.  He was the one who taught me it was okay to question the religion we had been brought up with.  I told him I always felt he had a beautiful Pagan heart that he was hiding.  He too now studies the same path.  The kids are still getting used to our  path.  I understand this since we raised them in mainstream religion.  I encourage each of them to follow the path that speaks to their heart.

This beautiful image of Brighid as Triple Goddess has served as the centerpiece of my Sacred Space and altar.  Not long after I shared my path with Silver Wolf, he bought this for me.
