Welcome Autumn, Welcome the Crone,
Marking the aging of my body and bones.
Youth for no one forever will last,
Maiden and mother years now are past.
Into my Crone years now I go,
To share my wisdom and things I know.
Lessons learned from life throughout the years,
Bringing joy and sorrow, laughter and tears.
To those who will listen I will share,
My love and advice to show I care.
My greatest desire for those who come after me,
True to yourself and your heart always be.
Conform not to what others want of you,
But to your beliefs and convictions always be true.
Welcome Autumn, Welcome the Crone,
Marking the aging of my body and bones.

"Cordelia" - September 23, 2007
Written on the eve of my 50th birthday.

2007 was a very special year for the women of this family! While it marked my crossing the half century mark, it was also special for all my daughters and granddaughters.
Our oldest daughter turned 30 in March, she is mom to two gals, one become a young maiden of 13 in December and her younger sister turned 10 in October.
Our middle gal turned 21 and became a mom in August, presenting us with our 3rd granddaughter. And then our youngest turned 18, our maiden.
So 2007 gave us the opportunity to celebrate all aspects of the Goddess; maiden, mother and crone.
