The Raven's Nest

Walking the path of the Ancient Ones

 About Cordelia

The ageless waves caress the shore
Dancing and sparkling upon the sand
Bringing new life to all the land
Restoring our souls for evermore

~ Cordelia ~

The power of nature calls to me.  I love to spend time walking in the woods or splashing in the waves of the mighty ocean.  The ocean is my favorite place to be.  I feel closest to the power of nature there.  As I stand on the shore and feel the waves against me I feel I am in touch with the whole world from the beginning of time.  Ageless and powerful, the sea restores my soul.

Taking some time each day to observe the beauty of nature is a wonderful way to slow down and meditate.  I lived in the mountains for a while and never tired of the view on my drive to work each day.  As I watched folks speeding by I wondered if they noticed the beauty that was all around them?  This mountain stream was a favorite spot for me to espcape and spend time in touch with the power of nature around me.

Type of Witchcraft you practice:  I am not much on labels, if I have to pin it down, a witch following a Celtic path works!

Bits & Pieces...

I began following the Pagan Path seriously in the fall of 2004, though this path called me all my life!  My dear friend and teacher, Nigel, who lives in Wales, has guided me in my early studies and continues to offer support and wisdom.  After studying as a Solitary practioner for several years, my husband and I were with a Coven briefly before we moved back to PA.  We now are practicing Solitary again, but gather for public circles with friends for Sabbats.

I am particularly drawn to the Celtic Path.  Brighid has blessed me greatly and led me to spiritual peace.  While I study and practice mostly a Celtic tradition, I am interested in other paths as well.  I also have an interest in Egyptian and Native American Spirituality.

I am a wife, mom & nana. My husband is my dearest friend and a wonderful man.  My kids and grandkids are very important to me!  We have 3 beautiful daughters.  Two are now married and we have have three beautiful granddaughters to love and spoil!  The third daughter is currently serving in the U.S. Army.

I used to have a large herb garden at our home in MD.  I continue to have a modest collection of herbs in containers at our new place.

I am very intereted in divination and have been working with Tarot/Oracle cards, my pendulum and my crystal ball.

My hobbies include genealogy, sewing, scrapbooking and enjoying the beauty of nature.  I love to decorate my home and find new and creative ways to rework the old stuff I have as well as incorporate new findings.

My lifelong dream is to travel to the United Kingdom.  I want to visit all the ancient sites.  I would love to be at Stonehenge for the summer solstice one year!  Newgrange and The Hill of Tara are on my must see list!  The ultimate for me will be to stand on the Cliffs of Moher and feel the wind in my face as I gaze out on the water!

My "retirement" dream is to move near the ocean and spend my days walking the beach, enjoying time with Silver Wolf and writing!
